Environmental Policy

This policy applies to all activities undertaken by Glasgow Film Festival and impacts upon our suppliers, guests and audiences. The policy is an extension of Glasgow Film’s Environmental Policy. Glasgow Film Festival are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our festival activities.

How Do We Commit?

Assessing Environmental Impact

Regularly assess the environmental impact of our activities during the festival, particularly the travel and transport of our audiences and guests, and endeavour to reduce the overall environmental impact using new technologies, low carbon and active transport options.

Waste Reduction

Reduce the amount of waste produced, and review our sustainable procurement policy.

Recyclable and Renewable Materials

Use recyclable and renewable materials where possible, and dispose of festival waste in an environmentally responsible way.

Support Sustainable Development Goals

Support local, regional and national activity towards meeting the sustainable development goals with a particular emphasis on sustainability within the film sector.

Partnerships and Resource-Sharing

Develop and nurture partnerships that help us meet our goals, including resource-sharing and providing efficiencies that would have been unachievable independently.
