The 22nd Glasgow Film Festival is shaping up to be one of the biggest and boldest yet. Beyond the tantalising chance of more Toni Colette level surprises being thrown at our audiences, the programme is choc full of the exuberance and love for the craft that makes GFF so distinct and so fun.

Advising on world cinema for this year's programme has seen the GFF spotlighting exceptional film and talent from France, to the Phillipines, and South Africa, and many, many more. It's been a great pleasure to advise on this 2026 edition of the wonderful Glasgow Film Festival, and my advice is to take a stab in the dark. The magic of the festival is the surprise and delight of the unknown and the rarely seen, have a punt and enjoy the ride.
