Jonas Poher Rasmussen
Jonas Poher Rasmussen is a Danish-French film director born in 1981 and based in Copenhagen. After debuting with the acclaimed documentary Something About Halfdan in 2006, he graduated from film school Super16 and went on to win the Nordic Dox Award at CPH:DOX for Searching for Bill and the FIPRESCI Prize at Thessaloniki for What He Did.
His animated documentary Flee was officially selected for Cannes 2020 and went on to win the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, Best Documentary at Gothenburg, and the Cristal Award at Annecy. It became the first film ever nominated for Best Documentary, Best Animation, and Best International Feature at the 2022 Academy Awards.
