Sam Lavender

Sam Lavender has had a long career as a creative executive in the international film and TV industry, and is Executive Producer for acclaimed novelist Lawrence Osborne's production outfit Java Road. He was an executive and commissioner at Film4/Channel 4 from 2006 to 2019 before joining Motive Pictures and developing and executive producing the six-part series The Woman In The Wall for BBC and Showtime. Since 2024 he has also worked as an independent producer and EP and as an executive and consultant for Good Chaos (Ballad of a Small Player, Triangle of Sadness) and Amusement Park (All Quiet On The Western Front).

His film credits as commissioner and EP include The Lobster, Saint Maud, The Favourite, Beast, A Most Wanted Man, 45 Years, American Animals, Free Fire, '71, Starred Up. His development credits include Slumdog Millionaire, 12 Years A Slave, Attack The Block, Sightseers, Under The Skin, and Shame.
